Basking in the moment!
Today marks a milestone that feels both surreal and deeply rewarding—I’m celebrating 20 incredible years in Human Resources. Two decades of people, progress, and purposeful work that continues to shape who I am as a leader, consultant, and advocate for healthy workplace cultures.
Where It All Began
At just 22 years old, fresh out of college and fueled by ambition, I stepped into my first role at The Hartling Group as an HR Manager and Paymaster at a four-star resort. It was a big responsibility for someone so young—but it was also the start of something extraordinary.
As the company expanded, so did I.
I supported the opening of a five-star luxury resort, then another, ultimately rising to Group HR Director, overseeing all three properties. Those early experiences molded me, stretched me, and prepared me for everything that would come next.
When the Journey Pivoted
Life has a way of shifting us into new seasons.
My path evolved from a traditional HR track into the role of Group HR Consultant, which became the bridge to where I stand today—CEO & Founder of Impactful Imprints Training & Consulting.
Through this firm, I now help organizations solve employee-centric challenges, strengthen leadership effectiveness, and build cultures where people and performance can thrive. What started as a career has become a calling.
From the HR Front Lines to a Strategic Bird’s-Eye View
One of the greatest gifts of this journey is perspective.
I’ve gone from the front lines of HR—handling everything from recruitment to conflict resolution—to developing an aerial, strategic view where I can support HR leaders, executives, and organizations with alignment, leadership development, and culture transformation.
It’s a vantage point I treasure.
“How Have You Stayed in HR for 20 Years?”
People ask me this often.
And the answer is simple:
Your perception fuels your staying power.
While some see HR as stressful, unpredictable, or overwhelming, I’ve always chosen to see it differently:
- ✨ An opportunity to challenge myself — HR never stops evolving.
- ✨ A guarantee that no two days are ever the same — boredom is kryptonite.
- ✨ A chance to create meaningful impact in people’s lives and organizations.
The power of HR to drive transformation is what has kept me inspired—from year one to year twenty.
Here’s to the Next Chapter
I’m grateful for every challenge, every lesson, and every success along the way. HR has shaped me into the leader and consultant I am today, and it remains one of the greatest passions of my professional life.
Here’s to 20 years of people, purpose, and progress.
HR Forever. 💙
